Contrast Therapy has been shown to reduce inflammation, enhance recovery time, increase immunity, detox metabolic toxins, reduce stress and improve sleep, and improve mental clarity.
How does Contrast Therapy work?
Contrast Therapy works by alternating between hot and cold temperatures to stimulate the body’s natural healing mechanisms. The hot temperature causes blood vessels to dilate, increasing blood flow and promoting relaxation. Conversely, the cold temperature causes blood vessels to constrict, reducing inflammation and promoting healing. This contrast of temperatures creates a pumping action that helps to flush out toxins and deliver oxygen and nutrients to the body’s tissues, leading to various health benefits.
What is the difference between Infrared Sauna and Traditional Sauna?
The facilities have contrast rooms with Infrared Sauna and Traditional Saunas which you can choose from at the time of booking. A traditional sauna uses a source of heat to heat the air within the sauna while infrared saunas use infrared heaters to emit radiant heat directly onto the body. Traditional saunas ambient temperature are hotter than infrared saunas.
How long does Contrast Therapy last?
Sessions are either 30 or 60 minutes. It is recommended to start with sauna and perform rotations of sauna for 10-15 minutes and cold plunge 2-3 minutes. For optimal health benefits contrast therapy is recommended between 1-3 times per week.
